Rick Cope is the embodiment of entrepreneurial spirit captured within a military mind. With over 25 years of experience, Rick is a former Combat Commander who served as a Special Ops Advisor to General Schwarzkopf and Senior Program Manager, directing a $250M fund for the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA); the independent research branch of the U.S. Department of Defense initiative. Named by the Hudson Institute as the best Public-Private Partnership in recent history. Rick has since led several companies as CEO, President, CTO, and COO and holds over 30 industry patents. He is a negotiating powerhouse who knows how to identify a ground-breaking idea, assemble a great team and bring that idea to life.

Not only the founder of NanoLumens, today, Rick takes an active role in the company as CEO. An avid proponent of veteran’s affairs and several other charitable organizations, Rick currently serves on the board of the National Christian Foundation. Fran Dramis is the CEO of F. Dramis LLC, a technology consulting and investment firm. In addition to serving as Chairman of the Board of NanoLumens, he currently also serves on the private company board of Catavolt, and is on the advisory boards of Virima, Voyager Capital, kwantera, and we&co. Dramis is also the cofounder of Urjanet, an energy data management firm, and is a limited partner in Seraph, a super angel investing group.

Previously, he served on the private boards of RealOps Inc., US Oncology (Chair of Technology Committee) as well as on the public boards of WebMethods, Inc., Avocent Corporation, Ditech Networks and Netezzza.

Mr. Domanico is recently retired from HD Supply (“HDS”), where he served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. While at HDS, Mr. Domanico played a key role in HDS’ successful initial public offering in 2013. Prior to HDS, Mr. Domanico was Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, and a member of the board of directors of Caraustar Industries, Inc. from 2002 to 2009. Prior to Caraustar, Mr. Domanico held various senior financial management positions, most notably Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Nabisco International. Currently, Mr. Domanico is performing consulting work for Recall Holdings Limited in connection with its potential merger with Iron Mountain Incorporated. He is also currently a member of the board of directors, and the audit committee, of Books-A-Million, Inc., a publicly listed company on the NASDAQ.

Mr. Vietor joined PEI in 2006 as a venture partner focused on healthcare. He has over 35 years of experience in the healthcare sector. Presently, he is an industry consultant, specializing in providing advice on corporate strategy, financing and communications to specialty pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies.

Prior to PEI, his major consulting assignment was as Senior Advisor to Lehman Brothers Healthcare Investment Banking Division. He spent most of his career at Merrill Lynch, where he was a top institutionally ranked senior research analyst and global manager of Merrill’s team of analysts specializing in the research of large and emerging global pharmaceutical companies. He then became a Managing Director of Merrill Lynch’s Healthcare Investment Banking Unit, where he was involved in a number of major M&A and financing transactions.

Mr. Vietor presently serves as a Director of a number of private companies, including: Nuclea Biotechnologies, which is developing diagnostics; InfaCare Pharmaceutical Corporation, which is developing neonatal drugs; Nanolumens, which is developing a new generation of digital displays; and Hydromentia, a leading company in removing pollutants from water. Mr. Vietor received a B.A. from Yale University and an M.B.A. from Columbia University.

Currently, Senior Advisor of SafeRide.com, President of DCBIII Associates, LLC and Venture Partner at Private Equity Investors(PEI). Serves on the boards of ReadWorks.org, NUSEA and the Taft School.

His business career has focused on transportation, manufacturing, marketing and real estate as well as restructuring businesses. Formerly, Senior VP of Fruehauf Trailer, VP of Marketing and President of US Steel real estate division. President of Mosbacher Jacobs real estate, Managing Director of Fruehauf International Limited and CEO and Director of Gamewear Team Sports, Director of Tubular Corporation of America and partner at McFarland Dewey, a boutique investment banking firm.

Served on the non-profit boards of Family House, Arthritis Foundation of Western Pennsylvania, Workshop in Business Opportunities(trains entrepreneurs to start businesses ), Fairfield Country Day School, Chairman of the board of Decatur Clearpool.

He is a graduate of the Taft school, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the Advanced Management Program at the Harvard Business School.
