Something dramatic has just happened to the digital display industry that has been dominated until now by rigid flat-panel screens.
Until now...“flexible” has not been a term used to describe large-format digital displays.
NanoLumens just changed all that.
With four years of research and development, a team of leaders from the global display industry and a portfolio of over 53 patents, NanoLumens has recently introduced the world’s largest flexible display.
In fact, our 112” diagonal screen is thinner than a candy bar and sips less power than a coffeemaker. The bright screen is less than 1 inch thick, weighs less than 90 pounds and is very energy efficient... running on 48V DC. The extremely durable and robust screen is waterproof and silent and is without question a “game-changer” in the global display market.
NanoLumens’ patented approach is quite simple. It’s the physics that’s not. Combining light-emitting display components with polymer substrates and flexible electronics allows us to build flexible displays...any size or shape... through a fabless manufacturing process in Atlanta, Georgia. How’s that for simple?
So what’s the big deal?
For the first time, digital screens can now be placed on odd-shaped or curved walls, hung from ceilings, or wrapped around columns where large, heavy, flat-panel displays are impractical if not virtually impossible to install or use.
NanoLumens has targeted the indoor, high-value professional display markets that include out-of-home advertising, trade show exhibits, digital architecture and the military.
THIN AND LIGHT
We've put the largest of displays on a diet, cutting weight, mass, energy use and resulting costs. We've also sealed the unit from moisture and eliminated noisy fans.
