Technology
Since 2006 NanoLumens has built a portfolio of over 50 issued and filed patents that combine to create a flexible display through the use of various light-emitting components and numerous proprietary manufacturing techniques.
NanoLumens’ patented approach to building large flexible displays is quite simple.
It is built around the concept of a “Nixel” – an array of discrete pixels – joined with electronics that can be repeatedly assembled into a display of any shape and size using flexible polymers and electronics.
Nanolumens has developed assembly techniques, driver software and circuitry to build the screens through a fabless manufacturing process that sources parts from around the globe and assembles and ships from its manufacturing facility near its development center in
Atlanta, Georgia.
How’s that for simple?
