For years industry thought leaders and experts have been pounding the drum to “get into digital signage.” Shows like InfoComm and Integrated Systems Europe have numerous booths dedicated to this market. You can see media players, mounts, displays, and video walls in all shapes and sizes.
One thing that is lacking, though, is the content to put on the screen. As an industry we can tell you all about the technology, how it works, and how to design it. When it comes to content creation, what goes on the screen, we sometimes are at a loss for words.
There are plenty of ways to get your content created, serve your customer, and build your digital signage business without the need of a new hire. “Companies don’t always do all of the pieces,” says Doug Price of NanoLumens. “They may contract out the content. They may not actually have people in-house that do that.”
