Database Administrator

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the successful candidate will focus on optimizing the existing QuickBase system for performance and reliability as well as assist with application programming interfaces.

Primary Responsibilities include:

  • Design, implement, configure, and troubleshoot database instances, replication, backup, partitions, storage and access
  • Monitor and optimize database systems for performance and reliability
  • Create and maintain dashboards
  • Provide database performance analysis resulting in specific actionable recommendations
  • Understand requirements, develop, implement and maintain automation coding
  • Work closely with staff on database design changes to meet business requirements
  • Execute project plans: communicate progress and obstacles effectively to stakeholders
  • Develop reports as well as perform ad hoc data reporting as needed and maintain user privileges within the database environment
  • Maintain documentation related to the database configuration, data flow, replication, data transformation and architecture
  • Maintain user/account/roles/permissions

Experience:

A minimum of 5 years’ experience with database monitoring, administration, maintenance, reporting and application programming interface (API).

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.

Skills:

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • Hands-on MySQL Plus administration experience
  • QuickBase, Java and Html experience a plus
  • Experience with relational databases
  • A self-starter with ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively

Marketing Automation Specialist

NanoLumens is seeking a Marketing Automation Specialist to join our growing team.

Reporting to the Vice-President Marketing & Business Development, the successful candidate will be responsible for implementing demand generation, sales enablement and lead nurturing campaigns that touch multiple points across the top of the funnel including: set-up, deployment and management of automated marketing campaigns, as well reporting successes and monthly analytics for the Marketing and Business Development teams. This position will be multi-disciplinary, adapting in the growth-stage company environment as needs and priorities change.

This includes:

  • building B2B campaigns that find success in lead generation as well as enable focused touch points across the opportunity stages through the use of marketing automation, sales enablement, Salesforce, and other tools;
  • launching and optimizing e-mail campaigns to drive short-term and long-term results via e-mail template setup, campaign setup, testing, scheduling, tracking, and post-campaign measurement;
  • minimizing list decay and unsubscribes while increasing the performance of e-mail sends;
  • designing and implementing test plans (g., A/B and multivariate) to understand drivers of response and value;
  • maintaining the marketing automation platform, including scoring, multi-touch drip and nurture e-mails, profiling, segmentation, scoring and workflows;
  • maintaining an ongoing content calendar that aligns with current and future marketing programs;
  • setting campaign goals, analyzing workflow process as well as providing business intelligence utilizing marketing and sales data; and
  • contributing to the development of the direction for Marketing and Business Development.

Additionally, due to the ever-changing and sometimes chaotic environment of a growth-stage technology company, the Marketing Automation Specialist may assume additional roles and responsibilities as the company requires.

This position will work internally with, and support, Sales, Marketing and Business Development.

Business travel will not be required

Experience:

A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience is required, with specific experience in:

  • Pardot and Salesforce.com; and/or
  • other marketing automation tools (e.g., Hubspot); and/or
  • sales enablement tools (e.g., DiscoverOrg).

ABM experience and fluency in foreign language(s) are considered assets.

Education:

University degree in marketing, business or a related field.

Will consider relevant experience a substitute in some cases.

Midwest Regional Sales Manager

NanoLumens is looking for a results-driven sales representative to actively seek out and engage customer prospects. You will provide complete and appropriate solutions for every customer in order to boost top-line revenue growth, customer acquisition levels and profitability.  This RSM will be located in Chicago, IL area and report to the Vice President of Sales.  The sales territory will be Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa and Missouri.

Primary Responsibilities include:

  • Present, promote and sell products/services using solid arguments to existing and prospective customers
  • Call on AV Integrators, end users, AV Consultants as well as architects
  • Work closely with NanoLumens Business Development team to ensure all prospects in the territory are being fully vetted and are converted
  • RSM must take full responsibility for driving NanoLumens name brand recognition in the territory
  • Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships
  • Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule
  • Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments
  • Analyze the territory/market’s potential, track sales and status reports
  • Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
  • Keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends
  • Continuously improve through feedback 

Experience:

A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a sales representative.

Education:

BS/BA degree or equivalent – technical/engineering degree is preferred but not required

Will consider relevant experience a substitute in some cases.

Skills:

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • Familiarity with BRM and CRM practices along with ability to build productive business professional relationships
  • Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales
