The Position

NanoLumens is seeking a Cost Accountant to join our accounting team.  This position will report to the Assistant Controller.

Responsibilities:

  • Create purchase orders and invoices in QuickBooks
  • Track international product shipments
  • Maintain prepaid and vendor accounting schedule
  • Conduct inventory reserve analysis on a quarterly basis and generate reports for management
  • Suggest payment schedules to increase cash flow
  • Classify costs accurately
  • Generate PPV reports and analyze findings
  • Establish standard costs and update them as appropriate
  • Maintain and review the general ledger and reconcile balance sheets (WIP and prepaid)
  • Analyze costs of overseas/international raw materials and other supplies and create cost-benefit analyses for changing vendors in conjunction with our Purchasing Manager

  Minimum Competencies Required

Experience

  • 3+ years of cost accounting preferred (alternative is significant general ledger experience along with journal entry experience)

Skills

Required skills include:

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Debit/credit experience
  • QuickBooks experience preferred
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • QuickBase experience a plus
  • Bi-Lingual (English/Chinese) a plus

Sr. Mechanical Engineer, NanoLumens, Inc.

The Mechanical Engineer position will contribute to and lead new product design efforts. this individual will be responsible for the success of design/redesign efforts and managing from concept to implementation. As a member of the Research and Development team, this individual will work closely with executive leadership to create new products, define system requirements, identify areas for cost and lead-time reduction, and serve as a subject matter expert for the mechanical systems. This is a highly visible role on a team that is expected to continually innovate and create value. The ideal candidate for this position will have a proven track record of success in any number of industries, such as, but not limited to, electronics packaging, injection molding, structural foam, and manufacturing.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree from an accredited Mechanical Engineering program preferred
  • Minimum 10 years similar professional experience
  • Firm understanding of material components, and processes: sheet metal, metal fabrication / forming / assembly, metal welding/plating/coating, metal stamping, metal precision machining
  • Capable of working in a hands-on, fast-paced, evolving environment

  • Review, develop, modify and release technical documentation including mechanical drawings, schematics, bill of materials, inspection procedures through the engineering change notification system
  • Manage the development, prototyping, and initial production of mechanical products

Sales/Systems Engineer

NanoLumens is seeking a Sales/Systems Engineer to both monitor and guide sales opportunities from a technical standpoint.  This position will be responsible for ensuring that the line of communication between customers, sales staff, and manufacturing is proceeding correctly to guide the project to its successful completion.  Strong communication skills are a must in this role with a focus of customer service while protecting the project’s profitability.

Primary Responsibilities include:

      • Maintain a consistent dialog with all of the salespeople in your territory regarding upcoming projects.
      • Offer solutions for new opportunities that may not have been considered.
      • Maintain a knowledge of current product availability and timelines associated with them.
      • Maintain a knowledge of competitor’s products and how we compare or differ when competing for sales.
      • Recommend support hardware to the Vice President of Systems Engineering when coming across something new.
      • Consult with the salespeople in your territory about their needs to better serve sales and maintain customers. Report these findings to the Director of Systems Engineering for discussion and action.
      • Build and maintain documents outlining job requirements and exposing loose ends that need repair before the project goes to production.
      • Communicate regularly with the regional Sales VP’s and VP of Systems Engineering to express concerns and suggestions pertaining to projects in the pipeline.
      • Maintain an air of “here to help” rather than “here to regulate”.
      • Perform a closing meeting with sales personnel regarding closed business for the purposes of gathering all pertinent/available information on the sale.
      • Represent the sales team as the technical authority in kickoff meetings, using the Vice President of Systems Engineering assistance where needed.
      • Make yourself the first line of contact for anything a salesperson needs.
      • Travel up to 50% for demos and sales presentations.

Experience:

Engineering background strongly preferred.

Education:

Technical degree or comparable technical work experience.

Skills:

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

      • An understanding of AV systems in general and a willingness to learn how we go to market
      • Strong self-starting work ethic
      • Knowledge of SolidWorks and CorelDRAW

Regional Sales Manager 

NanoLumens is looking for a results-driven sales representative to actively seek out and engage customer prospects. You will provide complete and appropriate solutions for every customer in order to boost top-line revenue growth, customer acquisition levels and profitability.

Primary Responsibilities include:

      • Present, promote and sell products/services using solid arguments to existing and prospective customers
      • Call on AV Integrators, end users, AV Consultants as well as architects
      • Work closely with NanoLumens Business Development team to ensure all prospects in the territory are being fully vetted and are converted
      • RSM must take full responsibility for driving NanoLumens name brand recognition in the territory
      • Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships
      • Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule
      • Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments
      • Analyze the territory/market’s potential, track sales and status reports
      • Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.

Experience:

A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a sales representative.

Education:

BS/BA degree or equivalent – technical/engineering degree is preferred but not required
