Lighting up arenas and captivating customers at shopping malls and airports, LED displays continue to grow in popularity for enterprising businesses looking to boost their bottom line. These electrifying displays ignite crowds, inspire consumers, and enchant imaginations, driving business forward in this age of rapid technological innovation.

For nearly nine decades, Hy-Vee has remained dedicated to making their customers’ lives easier, healthier, and happier by providing a helpful smile in every aisle. With sales of $9.3 billion annually, Hy-Vee regularly falls among the top 50 private companies in the country, sprawling its hundreds of stores across the vast Midwestern region of the United States. Within an ever-shifting market dictated by the dynamic needs of today’s consumers however, the grocery giant found itself needing to remind everyone that their fruitful past does not hold them back, but instead bolsters their ability to lead into the future. In order to convey that message, Hy-Vee decided to transform the lobby of their newly built Ron Pearson Center into a truly immersive experience reminiscent of a Hollywood movie set.

To do so, Hy-Vee partnered with Dimensional Innovations and NanoLumens to blanket the lobby in transcendent, fine pixel pitch LED displays, creating a visualization experience that turned the pavilion of the Ron Pearson Center into a state-of-the-art audiovisual deep dive into Hy-Vee’s rich 87-year history. Wrapping six powerful columns in NanoLumens patented Nixel SeriesTM LED displays, Hy-Vee guaranteed that the instant a guest stepped foot in the 11,000-square-foot pavilion he or she would feel immediately absorbed by the dynamic curved displays bringing to life the past, present, and future of the iconic grocery.

As one of the largest employee-owned businesses in the United States, Hy-Vee stressed the importance of celebrating not only their leaders, but also the dedicated employees at large who have made everything possible. To highlight these less visible contributors, the 360 degree digital displays looped Hy-Vee marketing campaigns from throughout the 20th century while interactive touchscreens recognized the long-term employees that helped guide the company to where it is today.

In addition to showcasing Hy-Vee’s commitment to their employees and customers throughout their history, the Pearson Center also serves as an event venue capable of comfortably hosting and entertaining hundreds of guests at a time. Today the pavilion hosts an annually-increasing number of high-profile events, reminding thousands per year that the company’s devotion to quality, variety, and value has never wavered. By investing in brilliant LED displays, Hy-Vee has invested in its customers, employees, and community. This investment has paid off so far, and signs indicate it will continue to do so, since just like the supermarket industry Hy-Vee leads, the beautiful displays update constantly.
