Reis Aldridge joined Nanolumens in 2024 as Director of Field Operations and was recently promoted to Director of Field and Service Operations. With more than 20 years of project and operations management experience, Reis brings a wealth of knowledge to the role. Today, she leads and mentors a diverse team, helping them sharpen their technical skills while ensuring quality service delivery across every project. She also collaborates closely with the VP of Customer Experience to shape strategies that support both company growth and client satisfaction, manages key vendor and contractor relationships, and drives continuous improvement initiatives based on field analysis and customer feedback.
Her path to Nanolumens began after spending several years at Lucidefy, where she worked as a project manager, field manager and director of field services. After nearly three years on her own, she was drawn to Nanolumens by the opportunity and by the people. “After working on my own for so long, I wasn’t sure about going back into a company,” she recalled. “But when I met the Nanolumens team during the interview process, everyone was so amazing that it became an easy choice.”
Since joining, Reis has found her role deeply rewarding. She enjoys that no two days are alike, and she values the opportunity to be involved in every aspect of the business. One of the highlights has been working alongside engineers in the U.S., which was something that wasn’t possible when working with previous LED manufacturers, where engineering was overseas. “At Nanolumens, I finally got to sit with engineers, see their imagination come to life and watch the entire process from design to our showroom floor to installation. That’s one of the most rewarding parts of being here.”
Reis offers valuable advice for women entering the AV industry: be confident in your knowledge and unafraid to stand your ground. “It took me a while to realize the depth of my own knowledge and experience, and to be comfortable in that,” she said. “Confidence goes a long way, not just with yourself but with coworkers. When you show confidence, you earn the trust of your peers and can truly shine.”
Beyond her professional achievements, Reis has a unique story outside of AV. She once pursued her dream of becoming a chef. Over a decade ago, she competed on MasterChef and made it into the top 13 contestants before the final cut. Although she didn’t advance further, the experience left her with an unforgettable lesson from Gordon Ramsay himself. “He told me, ‘You second-guessed yourself. You shouldn’t have. You need to stand in your own confidence.’ That advice stuck with me and became something I carry into every part of my career. You can’t expect others to have confidence in you if you don’t have confidence in yourself.”
That lesson continues to guide her today as she leads her teams at Nanolumens. To learn more about Reis, connect with her on LinkedIn.
