With Las Vegas and the 2019 Digital Signage Expo in the rearview mirror, NanoLumens would like to take this opportunity to give a big shout out to everyone that helped make the show so special! The long days and tiring nights of DSE always provide an exhaustive experience that leaves staff, presenters, and attendees simultaneously fulfilled and wiped out, so we thank everyone involved for their time and energy. On Tuesday, the first day of the show, we joined with Lamar Advertising and McCarran International Airport to officially take the wraps off a nearly complete project with an event detailing the objectives, challenges, and results of the comprehensive digital signage installation in McCarran’s Terminal 1 baggage claim area. We extend our sincere appreciation to the folks at Lamar and McCarran for their work, as well as to everyone who came out to the airport to participate and check out the 60 new displays adorning the space.

Wednesday evening brought the Apex Awards, where we watched as several of our installations were recognized. Publicis Sapient was crowned with Gold in the Retail Environments category for their work on the T-Mobile Signature Stores project. Tierney Microgigantic received Silver in the Educational Environments Category for their efforts with the University of Minnesota’s McNamara Alumni Center Discovery Nexus Center. And lastly we ourselves at NanoLumens were honored to be recognized with Bronze in the Transportation category for our work in Charlotte Douglas International Airport, a project you can learn more about here.  Each recognition is well-deserved for the terrific organizations who participated in the winning projects, and we extend our congratulations to each of them, as well as to all of the other honorees and finalists.

Throughout the week, we had many productive meetings with customers, prospects, and partners and we engaged with countless show attendees. Everyone we interacted with was gracious and curious, confirming that the signage industry is full of the brightest minds and the best people. In the meantime, anytime anyone in the AV industry finds themselves in Las Vegas, they are encouraged to head over to our Vegas show room and meet with our on-site staff!
